A traditional Cotswold stone barn set in a remote location amongst fields that had lost its roof in a winter storm and had begun to deteriorate. Planning approved.
We researched the history of the barn and used this to justify our proposals for the conversion and the extent of the residential curtilage. The success of the project was in achieving new openings in the barn, to make it a light home whilst not losing the intrinsic qualities of the barn. Lime mortar and local stone will be used to repair the barn and oak will be felled from the farm for the roof structure.
